What IS a Mastermind group even?

 "The concept sounds interesting, but... what IS a mastermind group exactly?"

That’s a question I’ve heard a lot over the past few months!

So I decided to list the basics.

What is a mastermind group?
You’ll find a whole host of definitions; this is my summarised one!

A mastermind group is made up of around five members who help each other grow professionally with advice and active support from the other members. The concept was created by Napoleon Hill in 1925.

How, specifically, do members support each other?
-       By sharing a problem and all focus together to find the best solution
-       Growing through combined networks
-       Teaching each other about our expertise for growth
-       Holding each other accountable for goals and actions
-       Providing a safe space to move through low periods

Is it worth joining/creating one?

100%!

Success factors are
-       Making it a priority
-       Committing to the group & taking it seriously
-       Showing up and playing your part
Without those things, it’s a lovely group of people having chats every now and then. Still nice, but not really effective.

How do I create/join one?
-       Chose members wisely (respect each other, comparable business levels, desire for improvement) Look around you, and trust your instincts.
-       A common ground should exist between members
-       Set ground rules, goals & a structure and commit to it
